CCCI has implemented Oracle’s Universal Content Management (UCM) and is about to migrate our corporate website www.ccci.org on to this platform. UCM is an industry leading product that provides us with web content management, digital asset management, and document management capabilities. These management capabilities will help us to share and administer accurate and up to date content across multiple websites and applications with the ability to view, collaborate on or retire content via user-friendly interfaces and roles-based authentication.

Agree – from what I’ve seen with the UCM, the capabilities and ease of use from the product are what will make it’s acceptance and success a reality. Since we are moving into a ‘new’ direction with this Content Management software, we shouldn’t have to customize much which will help bolster the applications’ longevity. There are also many capabilities that UCM offers that we will have room to grow into since we wouldn’t be harnessing all it’s expansive features on day 1. BTW – Remember Pearl Harbor today!

Would this allow us to host sites like our regional campus ministry sites at CCCI using the Oracle system? There may be a lot of benefits to having a common system that several “layers” of the organization could utilize.

Yes, it could and likely would produce lots of benefits.
